Harness/Cage/Seat ?'s....

I have a Wolfe 10 point jig notched ready to go in the car this winter. I also have 2 Corbeau Forza seats and RCI 5 point harnesses. The harnesses are expired so new is needed for tech/safety. I am wondering how they need to be fastened to the cage or seat etc to be absolutely positively legal. The one harness just uses the bracket with two slots that the belt would slide through and around the cage and the other is a "y" that goes through the holes in the seat. I know guys who have passed tech at our events here in Canada and also at events in the us(nmra) using the wrap around bar and through the two slot bracket method but it seems weird to me.

Another question I have is in regards to the drivers seat being bolted to the cage. The seats I have we're bolted to the cage in the car that I got them from.
Does this need to be done to be absolutely positively legal? I'm going to be switching to kirkeys probably but just wondering about the fastening to the cage...thanks guys

Hi there,

I race at an IHRA sanctioned track - when I installed the Kirkey's I had to have the rear brace for the seat, bought them from racecraft. I was told that when you deviate from the factory seating that this a must. I wrap the shoulder harness part of my 5 point around the cross bar and through their clips. Is that what you are asking? You need to find out what rules your track follows, then look up the appropriate tech book.

Thanks for your input. Racecraft or Wolfe racecraft? I looked quick on the racecraft site and couldn't find anything other than rails.
And as far as the harness....what you described is what I meant and I guess that's legal????

Anyone else?????
