Angry 440 hp coupe 11.99? guidance please!

I know I am not John Force and I will probably never use the full potential of the car but I am not a complete rookie at this.Ok so I have made 4 passes in this car so far I can't seem to get the 60' below 1.80 my best e.t so far was 11.99 at 117.52 with the aforementioned 1.80 60'. The tire pressure was at ~12 psi in 275/60/15 M/T ET streets, which seemed to low I ran a 12.02 at 118 with ~20 psi but I wanted to see if I could cut the 60' which didn't really cut at all. Launched at ~4500 rpm, spun a little then seemed to bog a bit, I can't launch it any higher it creates to much spin. Full interior car weighing ~3100 with me in it, my aspiration is 11.70. My suspension is as follows

suspension:
d&d tubular kmember
new fms replacement A-arms
strange coilovers with 14-150 springs and lakewood 90/10
mm caster camber plates
mm weight jacker lower control arms
rear eibach drag springs with airbag
bbk uper control arms with sperical bushing in the rear
subframe connectors
lakewood driveshaft loop
bumpsteer kit
cobra master cylinder
73mm calipers
braided brake lines
linelock

tires:
weld pro-stars
15x3.5 with brand new tires
15x8 5.5 back spacing with MT et street radials

What should I do to get the 60' down? The DRs seem to be at the end of their life, my fabricator says ditch the airbag and go with an antiroll bar. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated thanks guys.

-Andrew

The dyno is accurate I mean I know the power is there I am not trying to argue the power thats by the wayside, i just want some tips on improving the 60'. I know the c-4 would be better, I have a reverse manual c-4 with a transbrake sitting in the garage, I just want to keep it stick cause i like taking it out around town.

Try lowering the pressure in the airbag, play with your launch RPM,s vs burnouts. What clutch setup do you have?

With 440 rwhp 347 and a c-4, i went 10.60s. The stick and DR's are tricky. Move to a slick and launch as hard as you can.

What should the pressure be at? I haven't checked it yet, I don't know what to set it at, never used one before

Not sure on pressure you will have to see how much is in it first and go from there.

Switch to 26x10 ET drags around 11psi, launch at 5000-5500 on the two step. Does it launch straight or twist real bad? Your mph is already there maybe 2-3 off but not much so you have the HP you just need some 1.47-1.6 sixty foot times and quick shifts and you should be in the low 11's in no time. Take a look at some video of your car and see what the nose does during the shifts, if it dives down your taking too long shifting and that can use up 2-3tenths in a hurry.

It's just my opinion, but I think you have at tire/leave problem, I agree with fomoco 347, get some good (Hoosier D09 compound slicks) and try again.

you'll need some new tires to begin with....what gear are you running out back? 3.73-4.10? go with some 26x10 mickey/hoosier slicks if you're looking for the best possible 60'. if you want to stay with drag radials, you're going to have to learn how to launch on them. i have 423 rwhp and my best 60' was 1.58 slipping the clutch @ 2500 w/ mickey 275/60-15's. also, with 440 rwhp @ 3100lbs. i'd expect you to be trapping in the 120-123 mph. range.

88 notch...10.38 @ 130.17, 2001 ranger edge.......89 stock lx 13.51 @ 102...........I need a hooptie.......

what gear? 4:10 to 4:30 would be ideal my 308 with a tko600 would not 60ft for #### the motor bogged bad coming out the hole with a 3:73 it ran best 1.84 60ft [email protected] i swapped to a 4:30 it would cut 1.52 60's on worn out et streets it ran best of [email protected] if your motor runs that much mph i couldnt see why a 11.40 or 11.20 is not out of sight for that combo you jus need more gear to launch it. i would usually leave with at 5500 rpms. oh and i wouldnt waste my time with a D/R with a 5 speed damn slipping a clutch and chase a launch down by some et streets or et drags let it eat!

whats your rpm your peak is at hp?

I'm not sure what my rwhp is but I'm trapping 126 with 347 and would be running in the 10's if I could shift faster lol

8.0 @ 88 on motor, old 306
7.0 @ 100 on new engine combo
6.4 @ 108 letting out twice on bottle.
11.2 @ 126 in 1/4 on motor

Yeah I think a set of 4.10's is in the near future for this beast, I just got some adjustable upper control arms, and soon im going to pick up a set of hoosier slicks
