Want 10s!

Trying to get to 10s. So far run a couple of 11.3s @ 124. My track is unprepped in a tropical island. Anybody see where I can improve?

I take off @ 5500, shift @ 6400. 60fts @ 1.65. Anti-roll bar, 4-cyl springs in front, adj. shocks all around.

Since the track prep is bad, the only thing you can really do is work on suspension mods. 124 mph would be enough to get 10s on a decent track. Since your on a tropical island, the heat and humidity is probably hurting big time also. Swapping to slicks will help assuming you don't already have them.

1969 fastback street car project underway.

Two things I see from the video. You need to try to get your shifting faster, and your engine is loading up with fuel bad. Improve these two things, and you will see your 10 second slip.

x2 on shifting. Yeah, gonna get re-tuned soon (found a vacuum leak AFTER tune) thats why its throwing black smoke. Already got some 10.5 slicks on too.

Prolly weighs the same as stock, the additional weight is the driver. I would estimate @ 3100

Really? That high? I used to run 12psi and it would spin. I'll try it again and see what it does.

Nice video BUT the local track he races at isn't prepped with VHT/traction compound. Although I agree that his burnout is a little excessive. He may still be upset he lost the last burnout contest - LOL!!!! Sorry Ed...I had to!
