I have a ton of suspension in the car...just can't find a sweet spot on the drag radials, and I'm not ready for slicks...yet.
Rear is an 8.8 with 31's, 9" housing ends, Cobra T-lock, 4.10's...all welded up.
Uppers are baseline street launch, lowers are UMI adjustables
team Z k-member, a-arms, coil overs with 12-170 springs.
Strange 10 ways all the way around.
Launch was 15 psi, 4K...and it spun a bit. At 3500 it just bogged. This weekend we're going to Maple grove for the NMRA....I'm hoping for better traction. I'm going to try a little less air pressure and 4K launch...and hope for little to no spin.
It's frustrating, as I went 1.59 60' with this motor in my old car with a 255/60 MT drag radial....with less suspension! That motor had a different intake on it and made more torque. The new setup is making more power albeit in higher RPMS. (old best trap speed was 123.5 in GREAT 50* air. Now I'm going 125.5 in 80* air)
If I can get this to 60' around 1.60...it should run a 10.
I want to get a cage in the car and add braces to the rear before I put slicks on it....everyone tells me that Drag Radials + Stick Shift = difficulty! And they are right!
