Wiring a bracket car to be street worthy

I'm looking at getting a 90 LX Hatch that is a bracket car. Its got the basic wiring now for engine, fuelpump, etc. I'm looking at driving it on the street also. What would be the best way to wire it on a budget would love to go wit painless but the budget just won't allow it just needing the basics headlights, tail, brakelights etc. Any tips or pointers will great!

Look for other "off brands" of street rod wiring harnesses, there are many others that are labeled and easy to wire up, the only draw back is most are pre plugged for a GM steering colum but could be made to work.
