Well I was hoping for high 11's. On the stock short block with previous setup I ran a 1.8 60ft. coming out of the hole at only 2500 rpm. I hope I still can.

Well I finally made it to the track. I only got one pass because it was packed and there were alot of breakages. I had a 1.705 60ft. I was shocked by the launch and shifted into 2nd gear about 1000 rpm to early and nailed 3rd on the money. I ran a [email protected] I'm extremely happy and know that I'll be hitting the 11's as expected. I have a 150 shot installed and am shooting for a [email protected] We'll see.

Well I went back again just to see what kind of traction issues I have and to get a feel some more for the whole car. I wasn't hooking up at all. I ran three 12.1 passes and 114 mph. They all had a 1.9 60' times from spinning bad. I did manage a [email protected] with a 1.8 60'. I'm gonna get some suspension stuff this winter and hope to be able to run 11.7's consistently. Any suggestions on what to get? Thanks.

Just put a set of slicks on it and it will run the 11.7's that you are wanting. I never had much luck with BFG drag radials. My car hooked a lot better with MT drag radials.

Congrats on the 11s, with a good set of tires 11.70s should be pretty easy just like boosted93cobra said

Thanks. I do want to get the MT drag radials. A couple of my friends run them into the low 10's with 1.4 60ft times. What would you do for suspension. I have a 150 shot on the car I want to try but need to get traction first.

What's that suppose to mean? Spraying it isn't going to hurt it.

Who said I have a stock block? I know everybody says a stock block is only good to about 500hp give or take.

Your stall is not enough. My direct experience is I was running on pump gas 11.60's at 118. My 10 inch stall was probaly flashing at 2800 rpm, giving me 60fts of 1.68-1.70's.
Last week I put a 8 inch 4500 rpm stall in, and first pass, ran a best of 11.19 at 120.77mph. 60 fts are now 1.50-1.55's.
Putting it to the ground is the key.

Well I don't know exactly what I'm stalling at yet. I haven't used my transbrake or anything. I haven't had a run yet that I wasn't spinning off the line. I haven't launched at anything higher than 2500 because it just spins. Once I get the traction issue resolved I hope that the 3500 rpm launch will be the ticket. My converter is a 9" 3500. Nice times by the way.

Your car is only 2700lbs. Mine is full weight 3400lbs.

Yep, weight does hinder it.

You are making good power. 11's with good traction is in sight. Good luck to you.

That explains why your car isn't hooking. If you're trying to rev it as high as you can footbreaking it, then your suspension is pre-loaded and the weight is not tranferring at all at launch. Your are also not hitting the converter hard enough this way. Trying launching from an idle to 1,500 tops and see what it does. Also what does your timing curve look like?
