Took my Fox back out to the track..New Times

I posted a thread a few weeks back about having 60 ft. issues. I installed Baseline Suspension components and my 60 fts. didn't improve. I had all my bases covered, but everything kept pointing back to my tires. I was using 26X11.5X15 Et streets that were well used and 2 1/2 yrs. old. They still had the wear lines in them so I kept using them. I emailed Kevin and he told me to get the ET Drags and see what happens. Last time out I was running..

10.4'[email protected] with 1.59-1.62 60's

I installed the 26X10X15 ET Drags on some new 15x8's and headed to the track Sat. night. First run I sidestepped it at 4k and it slightly bogged..

[email protected] with a 1.51 60.

I was happy that it bogged because I knew I could raise the RPM to 4500 and sidestep it again hopefully to a 1.4x..Here is the timeslip..

I was juiced when I looked up at the board when driving and seen that 1.44 My goal that night was to run a 10.2x, So I was stoked to surpass that with the 10.13. I'm going back next month in some colder weather and see if I can improve on it. The other car on the timeslip is my cousin Zack. We just bolted his S-Trim on last week to see if he could finally get into the 10's. I wanted to congratulate him on getting in there He already has plans on going faster at next months grudge night ( pulley change, tire change, Methanol).

Congrats! Very nice running simple little combo. Keep going at it, with that trap speed the 9sec timeslip is just a matter of time.

Very impressive!!! A few more questions. What kind of tire? Dyno results? Shift points? Car weight? I'm looking to run similar times with a similar combo. Feel free to respond via PM.

I was running 3.73's. But I was going through the traps at around 6700. So i switched to the 3.55's and now i'm around 6300 at the end.

That's a 9 second car all day long to say the least. 31mph on the back end just shows what the car is capable of on the front end with some more seat time.

Are you using a 2step?

Nice work keep at it!

Thanks...Nope no 2-step, just hold the RPM's and sidestep the clutch. I think I can hit a 9.99 with some colder weather and a little better 60 ft. I don't powershift this car so I can save the tranny a little longer, I lift on every shift which does hurt me on the front 1/8th mile. Once this 3550 goes, I'm ordering something that can take more of a beating.

NosDog3...Yeah I would definitely check out the tires. They were more than worth it. Yeah I have 1 vid of my 10.31 pass but I'm having problems uploading it to my computer.

If you could put a 2step in the car that would help out a ton in the 60ft department. You would be able to leave at a higher RPM and build some boost on the line.

Then when you are ready to get a faceplated or pro-shifted setup you have a 9.70 based on your MPH!

NMRA Real Street cars run 9.60s @ 139-140 just for comparison.
