reverse valve body

Can anyone explain how a valve body is reverse pattern vs forward? I have one thats supposed to be reverse but the shift valve is machined the exact same as the forward. Thanks!

If you have a reverse valve body you just need to get a reverse shift plate so that the shifter works correctly.

Not sure if that is the answer you are looking for.

The shift pattern on a reverse VB will be P-R-N-1-2-3 . The one I have is for a C6 , but part of the valve body was not OE, but machined aluminum. Been awhile since Ive seen it. The shift valve looked like the original by appearance. The actually change is inside the valve body itself.
