How fast was your car bone stock?

I just purchased a 86 GT convertible. Bone stock execpt K&N filter and CD player, if you wanna call that a mod. 135k on the odometer, 5 speed, 10 holes, etc., etc., I got it on sunday and ran it down the track on friday. I didn't even check the timing. I ran a best 15.62 at 88.7 mph; 60ft was 2.46 (it was a one wheel wonder, running on 215's). For those of you who were able to run your fox body bone stock how did your numbers compare.

Update 11-24-08:

Well I have replaced the wornout diff. now both drive wheels spin. While I was in there I also installed 3.55's installed new strange adjustables, eibach prokit, chrome 17inch SC with MT Drag radials in the back and finally bumped the timing from 9deg up to 15deg. This gave me new results of 14.95 @ 91.6mph; 60ft came down to 2.13. I am disappointed with the 60ft but I guess I just need more practice.

I ran my old 87gt bone stock to the mufflers, had 180k miles on the motor, it went 14.9. This was also my first time racing a 5 speed car at the track.

1991 Mustang GT with a 5 speed and 2.73 gears and about 200,000 hard miles on the motor. First time ever at the track went a blazing 15.3 at 91. Learned that an unprepped track actually has less traction than the street. And to think 4 years later the car runs 5 seconds quicker and 40 mph faster.

I can believe the 1/4 time....but those trap speeds are not going to happen without other mods and/or weight removal, sorry.

With full exhaust, pullies, bumped timing, and 4:10's I got it to a best of 14.09 @ 98.

[email protected] in an 88LX convertible with 5spd, 2.73's, crappy street tires, K&N and bumped timing. Also had a 90GT that did about the same when it was stock.

Gears, DR's and a few bolt on's and the 88LX ran high 13's, and it was still mostly stock.

Nah...that's beyond a freak. A factory freak is a stock notch running 100mph in the 1/4. 104mph is far...far beyond that, so much to the point that even with the best case factory stack up you still wouldn't get there. My best guess is that if you didn't get it new....it had some work done previously. Or once again, the track's trap speed was just plain off (has been known to happen).

I think it's impossible to hit 104-105 in a BONESTOCK Fox. As stated above, even with everything in a perfect state of tune and ideal weather conditions, the stock stuff just isn't capable of it.

DAMN I wish my car stock had trapped 104-105 mph. It took me a bit to get there, and my car was called a freak. My dads car was called one too and was a solid 5-6 mph off those traps...

Why do some people get all the fast stuff?

Hmm... I had no freaking clue Fox body cars were so optioned from the factory. Hell if you could get bumped timing, drag radials, high flow filters, catless exhausts, aftermarket mufflers, steeper gearing, ect then why the hell did I buy my 00 GT?

Bone stock means you cannot accent your *** damn car with even a pretty little maple leaf air freshener. I hate when these threads come up because the reading comprehension elite flock to them with all their glory and inability to decipher simple word meanings such as BONE STOCK!!!!!
