Does my car have 11's in it?

My best so far is a [email protected] with a 1.84 60ft on dr's. Eighth mile time was [email protected] Just mild 306 with ported performer rpm heads, 10:1 compression, tfs2 cam, performer rpm intake, 650dp holley.

The car pulls hard up top, goes through traps at 6700 rpm in 3rd. Has 3.73 gear and 28" dr and t5.

This time was ran in 102* weather and its been really cool lately. About a week after I ran this pass it started smoking really bad so I went through it and put in new rings and bearings, and had the heads all redone with 2.02 and 1.60 stainless undercut valves. Also got the tires pretty well figured out now and know what it likes.

Im also thinking about changing the main body in the carb to the new hp style and seeing if that helps.

My goal is 11.70's with a 5speed car full street trim on street tires on motor.

t5. Ive got some 28x10.50's I can use from a friend. What do you guys think it could possibly go?

You think the intake is holding me back? It pulls hard so I dont think theres too much restriction. Just dont want to switch to single plane to be dissapointed.

Like others have said, that mph is more than enough for 11s.

What gear do you guys think I should go with? Right now im through the traps in 3rd at 6700-6800 rpm. Id like to be able to get it into 4th but its about perfect but I think once I get it to hook I might run out of gear in 3rd and have to short shift to 4th and it might kill et.

Right now I have 3.73's with a 28" drag radial with stock world class t5

4.10's at least! If you don't drive it on the street much than 4.30's!

I'm changing my guess!

26" tires & 4.10/4.30's = 11.80's

I might try it with the 26's first and go from there. I drive it alot on the street. Tracks are about 40 miles from my house so not too far to there and thats about the farthest I go with it. I could drive it all over the place if I wanted to though.

If I was to do gears it would be at least 4.30. Not worried about gas mileage. Thats what my beater hondas for.

3.73s are good with 26" and the T5 if you go 4.30s I would go back to 28s or you will run out of gear.

Well I got a like brand new set of bfg 275-60-15 drag radials so im sticking with 28's on the street. May still try the 26 et drags at the track. We'll see what happens
