What engines are these 9-10 sec fox bodies running?

You see fox bodies on Pinks, at the local track, Pass Time on SPeed, etc running in the 10 second range and some in the 9's...

What are they typically running to get these times? Just a 5.0 and lots of spray or a 351 or larger engine? I see some with carbs as well...

btw, guys, I am talking about 1/4 mile

There are tons of setups that will run those numbers most common at the local tracks are 351w based motors using carbs and nitrous. Some do it on motor Or a SBC set up the same way.

its pretty rare to see efi cars running like that at are local tracks simply because it just cost more. But every once in a while you will see some efi street cars doing it using a blower, nitrous or turbo and maybe the odd man out doing it all motor with a 302 based engine.

I was running low 9's witha 347 and N2O. Now I have a 351 based stroker and nitrous and PRAYING for a high 7 (Low 8's will probably be the result! lol)

Most of the guys I know and all sb/ nitrous. There are some BB/nitrous

And the dudes who have a little $$ have sb/efi/ turbo but they are VERY fast! lol

But all the cars are in the mid 9's and faster.

Low 10s here with n/a 351 based 427 stroker. Could probably go mid 9s on a little 200 shot.

bowtie, how much spray are u running to get to the 9's? race car with gutted interior or street car...

I am NOT building a race car, but they seem to be running 9 and 10's left right ....

Wheather I build my '04, get a second car to run 10's (fox body it would be !!!! ), or get later on a Cobra, I want to run comfortable 12's..... yet these guys are running NINE's and TEN's like NO BIG DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

Pump gas 8.2" deck R block, .060 over, 3.4 stroke, for a total of 352". AFR205's, Hogans intake, EFI, tiny hyd. roller cam, 4R70, and 150 n2o produced the times in my sig. I upped it to a 250 hit, but I broke the trans.

Its now getting a rebuild, going to a solid roller, a slightly higher stall, and looking for low 10's na, and 9's on the bottle, still while being able to drive it to the track, over 40 miles each way.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. -
