guys with fuelcell setup

so i went and bought a 5gal fuelcell and im gonna run it along with the stocker, using y-blocks and shutoff valves, run 93 in stock tank and race gas in the fuel cell, then be able to switch between the two

my question is does anyone have pics of their setups? placement of fuelcell ect... also do the -AN fittings (on fuel cell) have to face rear of car so that when you hit the gas the fuel go towards them?

stock pump assembly is at shop getting -an fittings put on it for new lines incase anyone was wondering on the stock tank hookup

this is in a 98 car... also have battery relocated to pass side so that location is out

any suggestions or ideas on a selector valve other than a y block with shutoff valves? using one for return then another y block setup for feed

any info or help would be appreciated

not to sound like a ##### or anything, by why? it seems like a lot of trouble just to run race gas.. with a fuel cell you can drain the fule out and replace it with whatever you want..

its still a street car, and i dont want to drain my factory tank just to run race gas if i go out to the track or go play around town, local track is 45min to an hour away and i drive the car, so better to burn the 93 than 110+

gotcha.

you could always just run two pumps and put on/off switches to each.

never thought of that but then i would have to run like 4 lines to rear of car.

but an idea i might toss around, but still need a selector switch for the return lines

I am guessing you are doing all of this because you are putting a N20 kit on the car???? Just buy a 1 gallon fuel cell mount it under the hood or in the front fenderwell, small electric pump like the holley blue, a regulator, and hook this up to the fuel side of the nitrous kit. Car still runs on pump gas and on spray it will be getting the race gas. Many run it like this.

First, I would make sure I would actually gain something by using race gas.

Alcohol injection would be cheaper...and one hell of a lot lighter AND more efficient!

well i am going to have nitrous on the car, but i gotta go with steel braided line to rear anyways so i figure it would be easy to just throw a fuelcell into the car to put some race gas in for track and some street,

got any info on the alcohol injection?

maybe im not following this right but you will need 2 pumps anyway, how else are you gonna feed the race fuel? unless youre running an outside pump like the aeromotive. if youre gonna just dump it in the tank then thats the same as buying a gallon of race gas and dumping it in the tank. seems to me youre going through alot of trouble for nothing, you dont have to have braided lines to the rear and i dont know what youre setup is but you may not even need race gas.

ditching the in tank and putting an inline pump, then using y-blocks with shutoffs to switch which tank to use
