gen 2 wheels on gen 1

what kind of mods are needed to put gen 2 wheels on a gen 1 lightning? i remember reading about you had to enlarge the lug holes...is this true? or does someone make wheels that fit directly?

Thats all it takes , the hub lines up the wheel not the lugs. Grind away till they fit.

Get you a step bit and drill it out to 7/8" I think.

I bought new lugs from ebay and that's it....

the 99-00 lightnings had 12mm lug studs, and the 01-04 had 14mm studs. i don't know what size the gen1 has, but ut sounds like the 01-04 styles may direct bolt up
