1993 Lightning transmission issues

Truck drove fine all day. It sat for about 2 hours, when I got into the truck and started driving it; the speedo and digital odometer stopped working. The tranny was also shifting extremely hard. I checked the transmission fluid and it was a tad low, Im picking some up tonight to top her off.

My friend asked if it had a "modulator" running from the back of the tranny to the engine but I have no idea(I'll look form something tonight).I know dick about trannies especially Autos.

Anyone have any ideas? The truck is stock except for mufflers and a K&N.

Thanks
Mogs.

fuse #17 i believe, often caused by the wires in the column shifter tube shorting out.
