Thinking I need a Lightning. Questions and $

What are the differences between the years and what to look out for. I know of NLOC and SVTperformance but haven't gone through the ton of threads yet. I thought I found a good post about what to buy or not buy once.

Tranny, what years were weaker. The dual I beam bushing fix, does that apply to all years? Other problem areas, seems like a brake fluid light could cause a meltdown on some years.

FWIW, looking for a nice, good condition red, 94/95, 100,000 miles or less in the south. I'm in TN and realize I will probably have to go after one though.

$100 finder fee to person who hooks me up to a good Lightning that leads to a completed sale (a sale to me, haha).

Thanks, David

Not much to look out for. paint is better on the 94/95's. tranny got better each year. the possible fire hazard is the cruise control deactivation switch. easy to fix, and is a ford recall, so if it hasn't been done, you should be able to get it done for free, if not you can get the part.

it is the little switch on the master cylinder and jumper harnass.
here is a link to the gallery of my stock 1910 mile one.

yeah i pretty much gave mine away. value has dropped big time on them. you can make more parting one out then selling one whole

as for stickers they are last i knew, they were no longer available direct from ford. a search over on the nloc.com might find you some and i think repros are available

Looking for Fox body Fairmont, Zephyr, Cougar, LTD, Marquis or Granada wagon

LOL well, when I bought the stocker i was looking for a daily driver, but found one with 1670 miles and couldn't pass it up. who knows maybe i will get one with like 70,000 miles that i won't mind putting more miles on it!

LMC truck should have the decals or Riverside autoplex in OK. guys name there is mike.
