For a clean unmolested L I'd pay it. The only downside is it being a 93. They have non clearcoated paint and the weakest trannys of all 3 years but being that this one only has 45k miles on it I'm sure it probably been garage kept and well taken care of. Mine bone stock with street tires ran a 15.2. Topend when mine was stock it would fall on its face(well it still kinda does) but stoplight to stoplight it could hang with a buddys 13sec Trans Am.

I know someone who has a red 93, don't know how many miles, but you can buy it way way cheaper than that. If you are interested I will talk to him and get you some pics. PM me your email address if interested.

damn straight

POHRacing

Someone from NLOC just bought a white 95L for $4500...w/ 80,000 miles and a Vortec blower. Or you could go the route that another guy just went, and spend $19k on a 2600 mile L!

Well, when your high mile( I am assuming this) Lightning is worth $500 in a few years and the other guys 2600 miler is worth 30-40k he will probably on you. whatever dude.

I paid 14k for mine last year and it had 1670 miles and now has 1820 miles. someday you will see it going on Barrett Jackson for MUCH more. I don't know how much, but when brand trucks are selling for 30-50k now, someone will pay big bucks for one of these low production trucks someday.

this is the undercarriage of what you wish yours looked like.

Well i am the one with the 2600 mile lightning. Some could argue that the truck is not worth that much. What i will tell you is while i was taking delivery the seller showed me 20+ email with buyers ready to buy it.That was at the $22201 buy it now price!! I worked out a deal before hand for $19000.By the way. i have already been offered $30K cash for it!! .I bought it to collect and enjoy 100 miles a year.I did not accept that offer.Even if i only get $30k for it in 10 years,i will still have made $11k AND enjoyed all along the way.Personally, i think in time in could actually be worth more, who knows but with a minimal investment of $19k, how much money would you have to invest in CDs to make $11k in 10 years??.From the research that i have done, my lightning has to be in the top 5 of lowest mileage.Go look at what a 5K stock plain jane dodge barricuda just sold for? $300,000 on ebay. How about a sorta undersirable lil red express at barret jackson. try $45k this year.I bought the Lightning totally for enjoyment of owning something that not everybody has.I love lightnings and have owned 5 now through the years.i did not buy it to make a fortune.real estate is what that is for but you dont enjoy real estate like you do a nice truck.
I feel any gen 1 with around 50k miles is worth around 10-12k but soon as you start driving it, your investment is going down not up.I can still drive mine and make $$..................As long as i keep it under 5k miles. My .02
If you want a truck that you wont lose $$ on try buying a 70-80k mile one for $6-7K and enjoy it up to 150K miles and you will still get 4-5k for it............

1993 For sale in Whitman, Ma for $6900. That sounds like a fair price but I'm looking for a '94 to tow my '94 Cobra.

My dad is trying to sell his black 95 L with 78,000 miles. Mississippi folks don't seem to want to pay $7,500 for it though...lol. Probaby get stuck with it. But yeah, that seems a little much for a 93...although the low mileage is nice.

And sorry to go off topic, but for the fellow Mississippian posting in the thread...if you find or hear of an 03 or 04 Cobra on a car lot in the state, please PM me. My dad is looking for one now (coupe, not vert.) and he will be trading in his '03 L (23K miles) so it needs to be a lot as most owners probably will not want a trade.
