1st gen. electrical problems?

Kinda curious if anyone has experienced this so here goes. I have almost nothing electrical working in my 1994 lightning steering wheel. No horn, cruise control, the air bag code flashes 32, and the fog lights no longer work. I believe my underdrive crank pulley is the culprit. The volt gauge reads low at idle, and since most of you know that less voltage equals more amperage, then I'm guessing something burned up. A relay or something? Anyone had an experience like this?

Sounds like the wires that wrap around the steering wheel when you turn each way are broken. Probably best to leave it to a professional to fix so the air bag doesn't go off in your face.
The fog lights- probably just the bulbs, maybe a fuse or relay.

It might even be a variety of problems. The air bag code has been flashing for a while. Then I noticed the horn and cruise didn't work. Then finally the foglights. Thanks for the input.

The air bag, horn and cruise are caused by the clock spring in your steering wheel being bad. When it goes, it takes all three with it. If you go to www.nloc.net and look under the Gen 1 How To's, it will explain about this and how to install a new spring. The fog lights may just be a bad fuse.

The How To's is located in the forum area under the Gen 1 heading, then it should be at the top of the list.

Thanks Ross,

When Hemmings came out to take pix. I didn't know it was going to be 5 pages and have so many pix.

Hows your truck?
Last month I ran 12.19 without the blower on, with a single carb.
my best with the blower was 10.51 @ 128.74
