AFR 205's and x-cam

Does anyone know if my AFR 205's will work with a motorsports x-cam on my stock roller 351w bottom end. I know the pistons have a good dish to them but those 2.08 valves are monsters so they might not even fit into the dish at their angle. Just curious I guess, I'll still clay them or do the vavle drop with my dial indicator when I get my heads back.

the cam choice sounds like a good way to ruin an awesome set of heads

just bustin balls.....While you have everything apart you would be NUTS not to do at least clay. Imagine how pissed off you would be to find out that your $1500 heads just got wasted over a $1.09 can of playdoh and 15 minutes of your time.

I agree with both statements! I have the cam laying around I its only going in for a couple weeks until the rest of the project is complete. Then it's coming back out for a custom cam. And I was just more or less wondering if anyone has done it before and what kind of clearance they came up with. I'll clay it regardless!

save yourself a lot of work and just dont even bother with installing that cam. Wait for the custom cam to come in and do it one time. Makes sense at least.
