Question Ford Fuel Injection EGR Simulator work on 1993 - 1995 Lightnings ?

Since I don't have access to a first generation Lightning to check do any of you guys know if the EGR connector is the same as that of the 1986 - 1993 5.0L Mustangs? If so, do the EGR simulators made for the said Mustangs by Ford Fuel Injection also help eliminate ping on these Lightnings? Trying to help out a buddy in SC with a stock 1994 Lightning (he's a Camaro guy when he's at the dragstrip so he knows zilch about modding these trucks). He says the truck pings no matter how much he messes with the timing and he has tried 92/93 octane fuel where he is and still it pings at half to full throttle at cruising speeds.

I have one and was not able to get it to work on my Lightning. Others on the NLOC have not been able to get them to work either. If you delete the EGR you will get a code 332, and a check engine light, but it will not hurt the performance. That is how I am running mine now, until my Tweecer arrives.

I've got one on my L and it does work as far as throws the code that Ryan says it's supposed to. It will not cut the CEL off though. Is he using the correct procedure for adjusting the timing? Also, is something wrong with the EGR or is it just unhooked?

When I say it doesn't work, I mean't that it won't keep the light off.

MIne either, which was the reason I bought it in the 1st place...lol. If I hadn't already plugged the EGR holes in the intake gasket I would hook it back up.
