Its a waste of time. A C4 is not strong enough to carry 4500lbs. The C6 is the one you need and yes lots of people run the built c6 and have great success with them.

Go to www.NLOC.net and ask. There is a lot of guys over there running the c-6's. Dunno about the c-4's though.

From what i was told is that the C4 is strong for a high HP light weight car but not for a heavy truck plus lots of torque and HP.

There has been guys who tried built c-4's and most if not all have gone to the c-6. The c-4's can't take the weight of the truck. I am converting to a built c-6 at the moment too.

I haven't gotten that far. I just got the trans in a couple weeks ago and I'm in the middle of a rebuild so it will be a while before I put it in. I'm building a new 357 and a new single turbo setup (sold my twin turbo setup), along with the reverse manual valve body c-6 (art carr) so I have alot of work ahead of me to get things going. Go on nloc.net and ask some of the guys who have done it. They say its not a big deal at all. You have to change the trans crossbrace to one for a c-6, but other than that I"m not totally sure.

I have a c-6 in my truck, but the engine isn't finished yet, so I can't answer too many questions about it.
