Exclamation IMPORTANT FOR ALL CRANE GOLD RACE ROCKER OWNERS!!

I am not trying to badmouth crane, but I am extremely disappointed. I bought a set of their 1.7 gold race rockers for my small block ford and the cage that keeps the needle bearings in broke letting all the needle bearings out in my brand new motor. The motor has never seen any track time yet, only 500 street miles, and it has never gone above 6000 rpm. Nothing was damaged on the motor because I caught it early, but I had to pull the motor and try and get all the needle bearings out, only found 24 or 25 of 30. I just wanted to let you guys know that this happened. I have heard of many other cases from other speed shops about problems with these rockers, and I did not want it to happen to anyone else.

Does anyone think that the last ones I can not find will cause a problem? They are too big to fit through the screen on my oil pump pickup, but will they damage anything else?

Thanks a lot guys and good luck with your setups!

Thats good info. I've never heard of that happening b4. If you didn't find any metal shavings, I would think that the needles that you couldn't find are still in tact and will be ok to leave them as they should make their way to the oil pan and remain there. Of course, all future oil changes should be carefully scrutinized for shavings as well.

Good Luck,
David
