Question about Lightning parts usable in Stang?

Just found an older Lightning that was totaled and I wanted to know if the engine and what other parts are swappable into my stang(s)?

I do know I can atleast use the long block but what else? A/C? Alternator? etc?

I saw a mustang somewhere with the complete setup in it. It was a fox body convertible. Supposedly he took the motor and bolted it right up, even using the mustang stock computer and trans. The only thing was that it needed a cowl hood. I didn't do the work or wasn't involved in it at all, but from the pics and info it looked like an easy swap. I also know a guy with a lightning motor in an F150 controlled by an A9L, so that proves that the computer can control it. It seems to me it would fit????

Yes you can use the Lightning motor in your mustang.. motor is a 351, and you can run mass air computer with it if you wanted to.. The Lightning motor has gt-40 heads and a gt-40 intake, with a little different cam than other regular 351's ... Think stock hp was around 240 or so.. I'll get you more specs later on a Lightning motor..

All will fit. There are a few diffs such as the oil pan. All swap parts are listed in the Ford Racing catalog.

Good Luck,
David
