351w in non-lightning 94 F-150

Im brand new to this site and had a few questions. I have a 94 F-150 with the straight 6 300. And I also have a 351w from a 94 Lightning and had it bored out .030 and i was going to put in my 85 Mustang GT but decided to save money and get a 347 Stroker. What would be all involved in getting the 5.8 in the inline 6 bay? What computer? tranny? rearend? Thanks guys

Your trans and rear will work. Id reccomend an eaton for the rear.

Get a lightning computer and wiring harness.

To get the motor in there your going to have to change the engine mounts on the frame. The V8s are differnt from the I-6s

I did it b4 on a 91 F 150with a 6. BUt i went the easy routew and carbed it with an AOD. Check to see what tranny you have because that will have an effect on what EEC to look for. Change the motor mounts, radiator, shroud, wiring harness, upper fuel lines, accy brackets, dizzy and computer . The Lightnings are Speed Density so if you could find the computer and harness out of a 95-96 f 150 or bronco you could get Mass Air, which is better for milage and not as weird when running a bigger cam. You can get a Typhoon intake(eddy knock off) for like 349.00 at www.holcombmotorsports.com. and a cold air intake for a mustang(86-88 is Speed Density and 89-93 Mass air).

Good Luck,
David
