AFR 185's on '95 Lightning, PTV Clearance?

I've got a '95 Lightning roller shortblock and I'm adding AFR 185's. Can I install an F303 and not have to flycut the pistons? If I can't run the F303, can I run an E303 and be cool on the piston to valve clearance?

Thanks guys,

Bill

You can run any of the B,E,F,X, or Z, cams with AFR 185s an still
clear fine. But you will have to have a stall with those cams or she will be bad Lazy down low. And you will also have to have mass air with those cams. My sugestion would be get a custom grind. I went with one of Jons, cams from BENNETT racing, www.bennettracing.com, Alot of guys like Terrys cams from cammotion, with speed den, you cant go much over 220 @50 dur
and you cant go under 114 lobe sep, but you can have as much lift as you can stand!

Thanks ADAM,

Actually, this is motor is going into a '65 Mustang with a carb and a 5 speed. I just wanted to know if the PTV clearance would be in the green. The reason I asked about the FMS cams is because I already have an E and an F.

Thanks or the advice,

Bill
