How much hp/tq can a stock block/crank/rods/pistons Lightning motor typically handle before blowing up? I'd like to go heads/cam/supercharger and produce as much as I safely can.
Right now, I'm wiring up a stock 5.0HO out of a Stang, but will be building the Lightning motor to drop in this coming winter. The Jeep is going to weight around 6000 lbs, and the tires/wheels that I'll be using are extremely heavy, so I'm trying to build it with as much motor as I can without getting too expensive or too heavy a motor.
