Finaly figured my problem out...need roller cam advice...

A lifter is wiped out, Its ~1/8" shorter then the rest, and the face is concaved. It was the #2 exhaust lifter, which would explain the backfiring through the intake.
I figure I might as well put a roller cam in it, what cam should I get?
can I use stock mustang lifters, and spider?

I need to get the TFS valve spring kit for gt-40/e7 heads, a new timing chain, a cam, lifters, and a spider..anything else?

You can use everything from a Mustang, lifters, spider, bars, dist gear the works. Then call Cam Motion up and talk to Terry to get a good cam. You can even have a Mustang roller reground to save a few $$$$

Could I get away with replacing just the lifters?

What lifters would I use for stock replacements..?
