Angry Surging Problem Please HELP!!!

I am not sure how to rid my Lightning of this problem. When I accelerate under normal conditions, the truck surges almost like it is missing. I have replaced the plugs, plug wires, dist cap, and rotor. The check engine light does not come on. The truck runs fine under full throttle. Any ideas???

Double check timing, even with another gun? I had a huge surging/missing problem with mine, and it bogged down crazily over 2000rpm. Found out that my timing gun was busted, and had the timing checked with a friend's gun, and it was set to 4* ATDC. Set it back to 14*BTDC and all was well.

disconnect the vacuum line from the egr valve and plug it off. now drive the truck and see if it still surges.
