Lightning front brakes

Are the front brakes on a 1st gen Lightning different than a regular F150 ?

Should be the same as standard F-150 of the same year. In 1994 the caliper mounting changed on all of them to a newer style.

They are single piston caliper but can be swapped for e150 2005 van with dual piston calipers. Everything is a straight swap spindle, rotors and the calipers allow for a bolt on caliper.
