93 Lightning?

Looking at possibly doing some trading for a 93L what are some things to lookout for. What I know on the truck it has 200k, on it rust over the wheelwells, owner says it runs good (they all do don't they). Supposed to talk more in detail tomorrow. I've heard the 93s are the least desireable for some reason and heard they have weaker trannys? What trannys do these trucks have (e4od, aode, etc). Looking to use the truck for daily driving, light towing, and pickin on the occasional ricer at stoplights Whats a ballpark value on a truck like this with the rust and high miles? Thanks for any input.

E4OD trans the 93's have the worst of the 3 years it can be updated to 95 specs. things to look for radius arm bushings, rust at the rear bottom of the cab, sealant above drip rail cracking, if it's red how pink is the paint. the reason the 93's are least desireable no airbag, no clearcoat on the paint, and the trans, oh yeah no center seat just a console.

I bought one of these in similar condition. I paid 3000.00 with 210k on it. I had it 6 months already needs trans and has other issues. Unless its in excellent condition I would only pay 2500.00 for it.

check out "nloc dot com" or "svtperformance dot com". There's a wealth of information on there for all the years of lightnings. I paid just under 4k for my '94 with 110k on the clock and no rust to speak of.
