speedometer

hi i just got a 1994 lightning and the speedometer ticks a little while accelerating... would i have to change the complete instrument cluster? also where can i find a dash kit? thanks

The speedo is probably fine. May be a bad sensor in the rear axle housing. On mine it was corrosion where the sensor goes into the housing. I removed the sensor, then cleaned the area really well, replaced it and the speedo is now fine.

Check out the forums at www.nloc.net . You will get a lot more Gen 1 Lightning help there. Not talking anything away from The Corral, but you have a lot more Gen 1 owners to help you over there.
