Looking into this for a friend of mine that has a stock 1994 Lightning. He might get my Edelbrock Performer 60379 heads that used to be on my old stock 5.0L 1988 Mustang GT. IIRC, the 1994 has a roller ready block, but the camshaft is a hydraulic flat tappet cam. If he bolted these heads into his truck would he have to change the pushrods or does he keep the stock ones? These heads are pedestal mount with 1.6/1.9 valves.
Hey man you the same guy that used to post on TR? If so hope all is well brother.
And I could be wrong but I thought the Lighting's came with a roller B cam in them stock from the factory. I"m thinking i'm wrong now. Someone school me.
Nope, little flat tappet in the Gen.1 L. Might want to check on nloc.net. A couple of people run the Performer/RPM. Probably do a cam swap at the same time though.
