1995 lightning questions?

I am a newby to the Lightnings. I bought a wrecked '95 for the engine & trans, to replace the injected 302 in my '79 bronco. I am trying to figure out some of the mods. Can someone help me out?

The ECM is maked BI00 & 4M16. The truck is Mass air. It has 24 lbs (blue top) injectors. It has 1.7 roller rockers. It has cast alum valve covers like a '91 mustang.

What is stock & what is not? I researched & found out these trucks are not Mass air. It has a Ford mass air sensor. Anyone know what kind/brand this conversion is? I really don't need it, is it worth anything?

The P.O. passed away & I bought the truck from his dad, so no help there.

Thanks guys.

Interesting. From what I've read the BI00 EEC was for a 5.8L MAF truck (or bronco). Someone has swapped it in there, maybe DIY by repining the harness. Is there a chip on the EEC?

The valve covers are swapped also.

Sounds like you got some nice stuff.

Here's what a DIY swap would involve.

Ford had a kit that had 30 inj. , EEC, and a wiring harness. Pro-M made a harness too.

Have you found nloc.net. Tons of info over there.

Thanks for the links. I have seen the & read the Ford conversion came w/ 30lbs injectors. I didn't know if the BI00 was the ECM they used or not. I saw someone mention it on NLOC, but could not find any details & fordfuelinjection-dot-com was down last night, so I could search there either.

I was planning on dropping this 351 into my '79 Bronco. I am running a '91 302 w/ a Ford motorsports harness & a A9L. Would what I have now run the 351 w/out problems.

Should I use the BI00 ECM. I am running a C6, & that ecm is for the E4OD. What would it act like running a non-ecm controlled trans?

Also your sig says you are running a '95 trans, what is special about a '95. What are the differences between the Lightning trans & the regular E4OD?

When it comes to the SD to MAF conversion stuff, I'll defer to someone who knows alot more about it. I've only researched Lightning specific conversions (351/E40D).

This link has a little more info, but they are doing it to a 5.0 truck. I would think you are going to need a chip, but somewhere I think I saw the BIoo was for a 5.8....so. But nloc.net or a Bronco or truck forum would be the place to find out. Do some google searches on that processor and stuff.

On the 95 transmission, the Lightnings upgrades on the transmissions as production progressed. The guy I bought my truck from had the transmission rebuilt and it included all of the latest upgrades (mostly for reliability I guess).
