Bought an engine ...opened it up and one piston has been notched....only one..should I send it..notch the rest...or what do you all think...I played them and there's around a 0.080 difference..

Check your piston to valve clearance on an uncut cylinder. If it's fine, close it up and run it.

Uncut has .123?

Run it.

See if you can measure how thick the pocket is under the recut pocket. I might be that he recut them an "discovered" they were too thin to run.

If you have .123 piston to valve clearance with the uncut pocket, you'll be fine.

But you should ball-shot the guy that left the chicken tracks all over the top of that piston.

Make sure that is smoothed out.
