Just looking to tinker less with the carb to keep the car is perfect tune year round. The engine drives great with the carb and is an absolute blast to drive on the street, but I have the usual issues with the carb. Gas smell in garage after parking, cold start with no choke takes some foot feed to keep in running for 30-60 seconds when cold, fuel varnish issues occasionally, running the AC requires turning up the idle a bit in summer, and some occasional hot start issues at the track / hot days. Overall the carb issues are no big deal, but all the hotrod / cruiser guys I have talked to running these Holley systems on mild V8's say you will drive the car so much more after installing it. They say it is get in an go with no hassles after install and cures all the issues above and drives / throttles fantastic on the street. I just don't want to loose any noticeable power in getting these benefits. . . . .
