any body else have a issue with a hot restart on foxbody with battery in the hatch? biggest battery i can find, largets guage wire i can find all grounds clean and grounded to the frame and too the block.
I have the exact same problem on a car I just bought. I have long tube headers. I also have a starter heat wrap that I am going to put on it. Hopefully solves the issue. Otherwise I sit for 25-30 minutes for it to cool down.
Not sure if you got it fixed by now but I just got done converting mine back to the front. Mine acted the same way like the starter would be heat soaked but it was the power wire on my car. Figured it out by running my jumper cables from the battery to the front of the car. Wasn't worth the headache to me so I put it back and I have absolutely no starting problems now.
Thinking it may be too much timing as well, I've had many hard start issues when hot as well. As long as battery cable is of proportional size, turbo heat soak is not an issue, and battery is sufficient, I'd look into how much timing your running.
