Geting ready to order my kit.my car will mostly be all street.should i order the 70 with it or the 76 what are the thoughts on this car has tfs heads intake f 303 cam. Thanks for the info
F-cam alum headed 302 will use a 70 just fine. depends more on the exhaust housings and I'm not familiar with the on3 options. I'd go with a 70 though.
The On3 76 has a 65mm exhaust turbine, which is plenty for a 302. I'd even sell you mine if you're interested, haha. I have it on a 351 and it's waaaaay too small.
I've never seen a negative CXR thread but I've seen lots for O3 .. Lots of fitment issues and ####ty customer service from what I've read with O3.. Plus their hot sides are mild steel. CX are all stainless, back purge welded.
Check the hotside for burrs and debris, really get in there and look, then wash everything. Small debris in your hotside can wipe out your turbo! Ask me how I know.
I will doing the 70 mm.car has tfs top end kit and f303 can and 1.6 rockers. So since its mostly street im going for quick boost i decided. Keep us updated on yours as well.
Well since with on 3 kit says you can sneak the intercooler piping through the ABS area so if I had an extra power last thing I want to do is mess with the brakes. That'll be my next Winter's project. How about you?
i out a upr k member in and set the engine back to gain some room but looks really tight in there also may cut the front off and do a tube kit to get rid of some weight
I think a lot of problems with the Turbo fitment Kits no matter who you buy it from is has the car been in a wreck and what kind of motor mounts do you have.
Last time I checked the on3 kits were stainless. If someone wants to pay 2-3x the price for something else that's their decision, but on3 kits work, even if something needs tweaked your still going to make the same power for way less. To each their own.
had to move the motor back to stock location 1inch back wont clear the strut tower with down pipe also i have to change the cross over pipe due to my oil pan where i think a stock pan it would have been fine
My on3 kit fit perfect on my stock motor/mounts. I did a k-member that moved the engine 1" back and used mounts that dropped it an inch, which made the downpipe hit the firewall and front header hit the motor mount pad of the k-member. just had to grind on the pad and manhandle the downpipe and all fits okay again.
