The most accurate place would be just after the primaries have collected.
There are variables though: distance, design, material etc..
If you place it after the turbo you will lose some heat
If you place it on particular cylinders then if a different cylinder is having a problem you wont know about it.
To use the EGT as a tuning tool it must be as close to the combustion chamber as possible, so if you chose to use 2 probes then I would say choice #1 with the probes 1" from the exhaust port.
