Great Condition Used AFR165 FTI Ported Heads

I have a set of AFR165's that I've been running on my 333ci motor. But I am planning on bigger heads to allow a quieter cam. These are FTI built heads. Upgraded springs and rocker studs with Ed's porting for what was originally a 302ci motor. Ported to a Felpro 1250 as I recall, but I run a 1262 gasket as it didn't require such a perfect alignment. Great port job by Ed.

Not sure it would make sense to Ship, but If you were local to TN could make a great deal of sense. Still on the car now.

Would rather sell local if possible so you can inspect running and upon pickup. $900 local.

If you would be willing to ship. I would be interested. Have any more specs on them? Combustion chamber CC? How old are they?

I'll confirm this weekend when I check my engine build folder. But they are approximately 14 years old with 14k miles since new. I had them rebuilt about 10k ago when I lost my 302 CIA engine and had this 333ci built. This is my fun weekend cruiser/ occasional drive to work fun car. Drives are mostly highway miles And some town driving. I planned for nitrous but never used the juice on this build. Becoming a daddy slowed me down I suppose.

I believe they are 54-58cc but I'll check.

Thanks all. I didn't expect this interest level this early. Still on car awaiting local sale preferably. Weekend cruiser but it's a backup ride if wife's or my DD is offline.

I'll post info this weekend on more details but still hoping for TN, KY, Va local sale.

Heads are 54cc. 2.02" Intake, 1.60" Exhaust of course. With my pistons and 0.006" height above deck I get a 9.44x1 compression with Probe 11938-0.040 pistons (20.1cc dish).

So larger intake valves were installed? I thought AFR165s came with 1.90 intake valves? Just confirming if intake valve size was upgraded.

My error, you're right. Intake valve size remains unchanged from original.

Heads have been decked (think that's right term?) to work with pistons chosen. That's why they are 54cc not 58cc.

Should help boost compression with stock pistons I'd think. My current compression is a mild 9.44-1.

I have requested a quote from FTI on 195's and new custom cam to achieve my goal of a mild mannered sounding ride yet with same great performance. I've gotten two messages from NC locals who may be interested. I would much prefer to sell locally as the items can be checked out and the exchange made assuring all parties they are satisfied of course.

It's also easier to help facilitate the new parts purchase knowing my out of pocket money is partially recovered far faster than trying to sell and ship etc.

I may also sell the FTI ported Edelbrock RPM intake too. Ed recommends a Holley intake instead....

Upon reading my past post I need to be clear that I DO consider NC close actually!
