I've got an 88coupe with a sn95 rear-end with 17"bullit wheels with 245/45/17 bfg gsport tires. Suspension consists of eibach drag springs with strange 10 way adjustable shocks. Trying to figure out a bigger tire that will fit without possibly rubbing.
Advise and pictures of your combos needed.
Unfortunately with SN95 axles, you stand a chance to rub on the outside without rolling the fenders with say a 275 40 17 tire. Should have no worries on the inside of course with no quad shocks. What size is the wheel with backspacing specs?
I had an SN95 rear previously. I was running a 17x9 with 6.75" backspacing and 275/40/17 ET Streets. Everything tucked in nicely and they worked great. They were American Racing Torq Thrust M wheels, which basically are a bullitt wheel anyway.
I picked up a set of 05 GT wheels, I know they have a bit more offset than the 01 wheels, still have to bolt up a rim to see how it sits. This is just a temporary solution until I can get the rearend done right with upgraded fox length 31 spline axles and position along with the Cobra rear brake upgrade from the GT brakes.
Will try and post up pictures in a day or two.
