I was going to be calling tomorrow for a delivered price for a 55gal barrel of E85 from our local distributor. I wonder what this stuff runs instead.

I bet it's priced close to C10 if not higher. I can see some possible benefits if your pushing your combo and tune to the ragged edge to make every possible HP possible. But I know I don't..and have no plans to do so. I get pump E85 usually 20-30 gallons at a time from my local Kroger gas station pump. I test each batch I get with a Quick Fuel E85 tester. I have found it to be very consistent when I buy it during racing season (warmer months)...usually it tests out to be 86-87%. I'll stick with pump E85...$3.40-60 a gallon right now here for me. I like the misinformation in their press release about E85 being corrosive. I've never had a issue in the 4 seasons I've ran it. Ethanol is alcohol...but it's very different from methanol.

I am out if they are asking those prices. I pay $2.75 at the Kroger pumps.

I was quoted $390 from a local sonoco dealer for a 55gal drum of e85. What a joke!

Sounds to me like a scam thought up by corporate executives attempting to regain market share. With so many people switching over to e85, I'm sure racing fuel (gasoline) sales have taken a big hit. I think for 99% of people running E85 in their hot rods, the choice is a no-brainer.

Had a local guy check that gets deals on fuel. He was quoted 15$ a gallon
Going to be hard for VP to sell much considering E85 is 3$ a gallon lol

Woulda been nice to play with something new, see if the 4% increase is true or not haha. I agree though nothing wrong with E85, I just like to fiddle all the time haha
