TC 4305 turbo opinions
Hey guys, bought a car last year with this turbo on a home made kit. Heres the specs i could round up on the interweb:
Compressor wheel dia.: inducer 2.30" exducer 2.75" (to4b-h)
Turbine wheel dia.: 2.5"
Compressor inlet: 2.5"
Turbine outlet: 2.4"
Standard T3 flange
Standard T4 backplate
Able to sustain up to 450hp @ 26psi
The compressor side has a 58mm wheel, 70 trim, .70 A/R,
the exhaust side is 57mm wheel, 76 trim and a .82 A/R
This is on a stock short block with im told an E303, GT40 irons, cobra intake and 42# injectors, and tuning with a SDS standalone.
I pulled the motor apart to check for what parts were in it, and to look for my detonation issues i was having at certain RPMs. Turns out the timing pointer was not correct, and was out in the ballpark of up to 20*. AFPR was pooched, and now i find the plugs are too hot. Anyhow, hopeing fixing these issues and starting over on the tune will get me going.
So, the turbo is tiny i realize that, but since i dont know alot about the specs, how far do you think it can go with this setup? I do plan on picking up a mp70 or something like that for later, to go with my ponydown hotside i have laying around, and redo the system once i get bored with the current HMT setup.
