Steeda Tri-Ax
So, I installed the short shifter yesterday, it is my 1st time using one so I don't know of this is normal. Mine takes a lot more effort to move around than the stock one. It feels a lot more mechanical if that makes any sense(not smooth like stock). I can get into every gear with no problems it just takes a lot more strength to move the shifter. Thanks for the help!

There's two settings for height adjustment (I think)...it's been awhile since I've installed one. I could be wrong, but I think it's the general mechanical principle of torque that you're feeling. Torque = Force*distance. The farther away you are from pivot point, the easier it is to manipulate. Think of it like turning a wrench. Sometimes you have to use a cheater bar to budge a stubborn bolt. The longer the cheater bar, the more torque you can put on it with less or equal force, the easier it is to break the bolt loose. So, in this case you're shortening your shifter height, so you have to input more force to get the same result...and your stock shifter is pretty long. So, yea, what you're feeling is normal. Just something you have to get used to.
