I'm trying to buy a replacement DPFE sensor, but both autozone and advance auto parts are stocking something completely different than what's on my 01 Cobra.

Had anyone replaced this? I know they went from aluminum to plastic, but the one on my car is already plastic, and the plug is completely different than the one I was given. I could make the vacuum lines work, but I don't know what to do about the plugs.

Try egr valve pressure sensor. I am at work. Typed in dpfe for a 01 cobra and found the part. Its plastic and looks like the original piece.

Hmmm....

Surely someone can hook you up with one?

If it were me, I would just delete the EGR and be done with it.

Can you get a pic of the one on the vehicle? I can tell you what part # you need.

But yeah, I'd just delete the EGR...

In the yellow circle, notice that there's a single rubber boot for both vacuum lines.

Two prong, squarish plug.

This is straight off of the Advance Auto Parts website. That's what was in the box. Same for autozone.

I used one off a 96 GT and works on the 99' Cobra with no problems. The part you have pictured goes on the back of the intake and has two 7mm I think it is holding it on. That's the DPFE like autozone has pictured and what you have pictured off your car is the EGR vacuum regulator I want to say. They are giving you the right part you're just asking for the wrong thing or not sure what you're looking for.

A used DPFE, or did you have the parts store search for a 96 gt and you got one that fits?

I'm trying to get a new sensor.

yeah thats not the dpfe. the 2nd part you pictured from the website is the DPFE. thats what the one looks like at autozone.

Where is the DPFE than?

This sensor has a vacuum line running from the upper intake into it, and than from it straight to the top of the EGR valve.

I can't imagine what else it could be.

It is an EGR Vaccuum Solenoid, it'll be part number EVS58 at your local AutoZone.

Stalling when coming to a stop. Cleaned the IAC and throttle body and MAF. Several over on SVTPerformance said that when they got to theirs out, water from condensation dripped out of the sensor.

So where is it?

Follow the 2 smaller vacuum lines that are connected to the EGR piping to the back side of your intake and you should see it

LoL, as soon as I opened the hood I saw it. I think I spent 5 minutes searching the firewall for it earlier.

Sorry, I knew where it was...I was just trying to address your reason for replacing, and the part type/number of the solenoid.

Being on the firewall a lot of people actually mistake it for the MAP.

Stock DPFE's are actually pretty notorious for going bad.
