air/fuel gauge question
Just installed a narrowband Air/fuel gauge on my 84' SVO..(I kno alot of you guys are going to tell me to toss it and buy a wideband...but that really is not an option at the moment)...wired it all up to what I believe is the signal wire, but gauge is constantly stuck on rich, no movement...does not fluctuate at all...any insight from anyone? Which wire exactly is the signal, could this be a sign my o2 is shot? need some help here this thing is starting too irritate me...

I would suggest to hook it upto the HUGO signal wire at the computer. I forget what pin it is on an SVO PE computer but just look it up. I remember I hooked mine up to a wire at the O2 sensor and it wouldn't fluctuate like it is supposed to. After I grounded it properly and HUGO wire it began to work.
Of course, this is only if your car is working properly. On my car it was because it wasn't going into closed-loop mode. It's rather unlikely for you, so try and hook it up properly to the computer and if it doesn't work look it up on svoca.com |
