Anyone have sound clips of dynomax super turbos?

Mostly looking for the sound on a 5.0, cant decide between those and the force II's, my goal is a not so loud exhaust but decent when the throttle is opened up!

Super Turbos ####in rock dude. I'll be going with them this year.

Nice idle sound, with an off-road X-pipe they drone a little bit, but not that bad. At WOT they just SCREAM.

Here's dad's 84 with them on.

Here are some videos from where I had the mic's taped to the bumper above the exhaust on my 92 LX with 1-5/8 equal-length shorties, off-road H, and a Super Turbo cat-back with full tailpipes. At the time it had stock heads and a Cobra intake, on some of them I may have also had the Comp Cams 270HR cam installed.

Did you keep your cat-back upon making the O/R to Catted switch, MFE?

Edit: Nice driving by the way.

Yes, everything is exactly the same, I just had Magnaflow spun metallic cats welded into the existing H-pipe.

How much did those cats cost you? Any chance you have a link to the actual cats you bought?

Wow, they sound pretty good there, I'm impressed, most of the ones I've heard sound stockish, Dynomax Ultra Flows on the other hand are a whole different animal!

I got Magnaflow 59956's, different numbers in the 59900 series give you different offsets and angles and pipe diameters. The 59956 is a straight, non-offset, 4-inch wide x 8-inch total length tiny little things that look a lot like the first pic. Go to http://www.car-sound.com/02product/u...al/599spun.asp to see the catalog, then buy them from Summit. As an alternative, some apparently identical ones called Thunderbolt are sold on Ebay by "Performance Curve" for a fraction of the price, but I don't know if they're really identical, or just look that way. In any case I'm really impressed with the Magnaflow units. They've taken several hundred miles of road course abuse plus street driving without missing a beat. The car will still smell some, but it'll smell different, and not as much, more like rotten eggs but not strong, less unburnt fuel stink.

Look back toward the crossover on my H-pipe and you can see how small they are as installed.

imo they have drone without the good sound...tfs hci off road h

they are cheap and the cases are not welded

there are probably better quite straight through and chambered mufflers to buy

imo they far from scream at wot

if your car is 500hp most mufflers will scream

I have super turbos as well. they give you a pretty tame sound at idle and cruising around. At WOT they get louder than you'd think.
