It tends to drone quite a bit more, and at a still idle the immense bass sound is very present. The smell is obvious, about the same as tail pipes I believe. Mine isn't insanely loud, but it grabs attention more than a civic with a fart can. Keep in mind though, I'm running it on a 5.0 which seems to have a little bit of a different tone than the 4.6's.

When it's dry out I tend to wind the gears out to 1800-2500 rpms to avoid the drone in the next gear. Under load at 1200 rpms makes your brain rattle a little.

Well, I have to add one more thing. You don't see many mustangs running around here with dumped exhaust, in fact mine is the only one I've seen around here that is actually a street driver, not a weekend cruiser built for drags. Maybe there's an obvious reason for that...

I really would rather going with a tail-piped setup, but I don't plan on keeping this car much longer.

Tail pipes look good too if they aren't the stock ones, my slp tips look bad from all views.

I went from side exhaust to dumps, and wouldn't have it any other way. Car has 4.10 gears, and I don't think the noise is bad at all.

Here is a video/sound clip(this is coupled with an O/R H-pipe, stock manifolds):

If you can get a muffler shop to angle the exit pipes at toward the rear of the car, you'll be fine. Like this:

Ive dumped my magnapacks before the rear axle and they sound awesome but get to annoying driving everyday. Atleast with LT's and an O/r H pipe.

Mac LTs/Mac offroad Prochamber/Mac Pro Dumps with plenty of mods and VT stage II NA cams. WOULD NOT HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY! Nice tone, SCREAMs at WOT and idle is sick. Also removes weight and I dont have to clean tips all day long with my wide rears.

Enjoy!
