Summits sells them. What meth is is a way to cool the blower so you can go more timing, Its's 49% meth and 51% water.

It really worked great for me .

Get the stage 2 kit

I got mine from Bob Kurgan (kurganmotorsports.com), and he gave me a good deal on it. What a meth kit does is it sprays a mist of water/meth mix in the intake. The water helps cool the intake charge and the meth acts like extra octane. On my car with the meth we were able to add 8* more timing and lean it out 15% due to the water/meth mix.

Now you can up the boost to 10-12 psi and put in a 625 ml nozzle and have 450 RWHP

Nice tuning improvement there!

nice

ALVAROP-
Those number are awesome, being in the 400's has to feel good. Can you tell me how the tune went there? That's where I'll be having mine tuned, and I've never done it before...........it would be good to know what to expect, and what I should be ready for.

It was my first time tuning for me i drove down there from canada . The guys at the shop were great and really knew there stuff. Plus i also seen lots of cool cars in there shop like 2 new GT 500 both put down 640 RWHP.

It only took 2 hour to tune my car his rates are great and he has a new dyno.

I got what i expected and Dan the own is a striaght up guy told it like it is.

I do plan on going down there again when i do some more mods.

400 RWH sure feels good tho, Now i want more.LOL the feels very strong .

So have no worries call them and have fun.

ALVAROP- And all other KB guys:
What intake pipe set-up do you have, and how big is your TB?
I can't decide what I should do with mine. I have a March ram air box that's pretty old, the filter fit's on the stock MAF so I'll need to get one with a 4"ID to go with the 90mm LMAF I bought. I have a 70mm TB now........and I don't know if I should go with it or get an 80mm. I sounds like I should inject the meth before the TB so I'm assuming I would want a metal pipe. Can you guys give me some suggestions on what I should do. Thanks

I bought a 4" pipe from my tuner . I have a 70mm throttle body and 80 mm maf that is now mounted in the fender. That pipe is made out of plastic which always feels cooler now, then my old bbk intake metal pipe.

I'll try and post a pic of my set up. I also have the meth before the thottle body.

I have a March ram-air box too. I am using a 4" silicon elbow feeding an 85mm Accufab - fits right on.

ALVAROP- You bought the pipe from BD? How did you get the 4"ID to fit your 70mm TB, the OD on my TB is almost 3.25........did you have to adapt it anyway? And also, how does the tuner flash the chip.......does he have to take it out to do it? If possible, I would want to install as much as possible before I go get it tuned. How were you able to tune it well enough to drive it all the way down to Rogers? By the way, I was the one who emailed you, but I don't have internet at home.....just at work.

Cougar- Yes, that is an awesome setup. I saw that picture along with Tinmans and another in the post about where to inject the meth. I have the link to where you bought the tube, but I think I'd have to maybe add at least an .125" strip of silicone to my TB to make the 4" work. Do you think my 70mm will hurt me, or do you think it's good enough.

By the way here's my engine setup.
'87GT, stock bottom 109,000 miles, f303, Windsor jr's, 1.6 rollers, 24#ers (42's on the way), Cobra intake, LMAF waiting to go on, 70mm TB, still waiting for the Flowzilla to show up.

The stock inlet is about 70mm (65mm min) average cross-section so the 70mm TB wouldn't hurt you there. The Flowzilla has a 90mm opening and is closer to 90mm cross-section throughout. You are also adding a 90mm LMAF and 42's - thus I'm guessing you are looking to make 400-450 RWHP. Based on my experience & KB's testing, I'm gonna say that the 70mm will cost you about 10 - 15 RWHP depending. With that "F" cam & Flowzilla, I'm thinking the TB will be your biggest restriction. The 85mm TB I am using takes a 4" hose - I did have to use a small piece of 3.5" hose over the MAF, so you can use smaller hose as an adapter for the TB if you stay with the 70mm.

COUGAR- I've read quite a few posts on here saying that as long as you have to upgrade components you might as well go with the 42's and LMAF....since there isn't a cost diff. I'm honestly not shooting for a HP number at this point, but I think I should be close to ALVAROP's numbers since our setups are prety close. I'm a little worried about running 10#'s of boost on my SBE, but it seems too many people haven't had a problem. I've had a 125 shot on for a few years and haven't had any problems. I didn't mean to take over ALVAROP's thread, do you mind if I send you a PM Cougar? Thanks

HI. yes I bought the pipe from DB, the pipe came with all the fitings we had to cut the side firewall a bit to vent the pipe in the fender.

The tuner would remove the chip every time he would flash it . I had the cpu sitting on the floor to make it easy for the tuner. I have a sct chip.

I towed the car down to rogers too long of a drive . he has a nice shop and knows his stuff well worth it for me.

I remember now your email, your from Duluth . The day i came home your town had the marathon going on ,took me for a nice detour with a mustang behind my truck.LOL

You should take a drive up here sometime.

Just found this old thread. Those are some nice numbers dude.

Do you have any pictures of your snow install? I just got my snow stage 2 and I am probably going to start on install tomorrow. Any slick tricks I should know about where to mount pump, wire in control unit, etc?
