I am looking into getting 20" rims, but I am not sure which style to go with? I know that I want chrome but that is about it. So post up some pics so that I can get some ideas goin'!! Please state type of rim/tire size/lowering springs if you have them!!

About a month ago.... I was talking to two Ford engineers who were working on the '13 Stangs. They tested all sorts of tires and rims (they were interested in the BF's on my ride, I guess they had considered em at one time)... they told me what many know to be true. Over 18" rims, your just adding unsprung weight. The 20's look good... but consider if looks are all you want.

Just not feelin the 20" wheels. I think a 19 might look perfect, the 18's leave a bit too much gap for me, and the 20's just look too big for my taste.

yea i do agree with u MadCow, i do get tired of the almost gaudy look i have rarely, but then again, i dont care to look like everybodys' momma's V6 pony package rims either. i concede ur point tho, they are heavy, so an 18 would be best for functionality

Hey Black Muscle 06, which Eibach springs do you have - the Pro-kit? I'll be replacing my 18" factory polished Bullits with some 20's when it's about time for new tires, and want to get it off the stilts. Do you have any rubbing problems with the Eibachs (I assume it's the Pro-kit), any alignment problems, etc? I love the look of the Bullits, even if they are more understated

I thought for sure, when I clicked on this thread, that there would be like 1 person with 20" rims on their Mustang.

Sadly I open the thread to see a whole pile of losers that think this looks good, and actually believe this addition to their cars is anything but a complete eyesore.

Whats next, yellow stickers all over it? Spinners? Oh oh, I know, a giant wing?

You people make me want to puke. Nice rap video reject cars, perhaps you all should think about trading your cars in on the Chrysler 300? Those things are chrome compliant vehicles that appear to be more up your collective alleys.

lol welcome to the year 2007, 17s are for stock 6 bangers and w/ the overall bigger body the s197s have anything smaller looks 4x4ish, why would you hate on them when saleens come with them stock and most super cars run huge wheels. After your comment do you have the balls to post a pic of your car so we can pick it apart and give you our OPINIONS?

uhh, to be honest with u, i really dont know... thats sad to say, but my dad had it lowered by the dealership, so whatever they did, they never said, but i do know they're eibachs, cuz i took a good look at them when rotating the tires. i do remember they were black, if that helps? sorry man, i havn't really looked into my car's suspension yet, but no, no problems at all with the ride. no noise or scrubbing. i have taken fairly curvy country back-roads at like almost 120mph, and no fears of anything malfunctionin other than me i guess lol.

as for Droppin Chronic dip#####'s dumb@$$, if u dont like what u see, then either one, stab or remove ur eyeballs and do urself a favor, or two, (and this is more pleasant, less complicated method for u senior citizens in denile of the times), just dont come in where ur not welcome. how hard was that Mr. Party-Pooper, huh? obviously pretty difficult for those such as urself who have the maturity of Stewart off of MadTV or the intelligence level of some1 considered legally retarded. y dont u go snort some powder for us all off ur 18 inch "cool" rims, u damn 80's hippie?

20's, on anyting '2004 or earlier, I'd agree, TOO BIG! But on the S197, they look like they're right at home, so long as you've lowered the car a bit. For those with 20's and stock springs, LOWER IT a bit! The DO look silly on stock springs (sorry guys, but you know it to be true).

As far as all of the performance arguments - you're right: 17 or 18" wheels will likely perform better in the 1/4 mile, all things held equal. I'm strapping a KB kit to my car, and am not a 1/4 mile or road course racer. I want looks and power, and the right springs, wheels, and this KB kit will give me all of that. I'm just trying to figure out which 20's to go to and which springs will give me the look I want - the power will be there this week!

So 347gtvert, which wheels are those, and what springs are you using?

Figure I'd correct these before continuing, perhaps you guys should spend less time polishing your non-functional chrome and more time learning how to speak and write English properly.

Now for my 'honda civic', strangely it looks nothing like that and has no chrome on it that I can see.

Note the distinct LACK of chrome and 20" rims that do nothing for performance or handling as any of you could readily admit.

Please let me know if you need me to dig up my dyno slips, more shots of the car or anything else you need to make yourself look even more foolish. 20" rims aren't anything more than attempts at being an attention whore in traffic to idiots that actually think that crap looks good.

Don't forget to remove your GT or other badging so you can put '20"' decals in place of it. Sounds like that's your next logical move.

I laugh at people with their shiny rims that ease themselves around corners and over any crack in the pavement because they are scared of rubbing their low profile - low performance tires and wheels.

And I'm not surprised you guys in this thread bring up the Saleen as some sort of defense. That overpriced plastic pile of crap that I blow by in my car is the worst kind of mustang there is. Where do I start with it? Oh that's easy, how about in the ridiculous body kit that doesn't do anything for performance but just adds weight and ugliness. The only reason it looks like that is to hopefully get someone to see the thing, because 99% of them certainly aren't fast. (the super high priced ones are a joke too, more expensive than my car, yet slower.... yeah that makes sense)

So it really doesn't surprise me that the Saleen, all slow and covered in plastic would come stock with 20" rims. In fact, I'd expect that joke of a Mustang to come with nothing but. Maybe next year they can put 22"s on there and really give you guys something to yank your pud about.

Why are you bringing this stuff up when my participation in this thread, and consistent stance in here has only been discussing 20" rims, and my opinion that they don't belong on a Mustang?
