twin turbo car

Guys here is some video of some shakedown passes on my twin turbo small block car. Its a 358 yates headed motor. We are shaking it down with just 5lbs of boost logging some air to fuel ratio readings and checking the chassis out. This is a twin 70mm turbos. I built everything about this with air to water intercooler. I am going to start building turbo kits as well. Again its 5lbs of boost with drag radials. This is 1/8th mile stuff to and with 3.27 gears. car needs more gear for the 1/8th

first pass
leave at 3000 and go
6.38 @110

second pass leave at 4000 and go
6.10@ 115 with 1.48 60'

Are you going to do twins, single or both?
What price range?
What's the advantage of going twins?
Thanks

I can do either for the fox body. The price depends on which. The difference is the power out put it will make

Newt that Twin Turbo looks too fun even at that boost level!! Is this car only driven at the track?? I have been debating between a Nitrous car and a Twin Turbo for my 5.0.Is there a big difference in how the Twin's feel as opposed to a Single setup??I would like to keep my 5 speed ,even though automatic's are easier to control with the insane Torque that a Twin Turbo gives.

Although the Twin T-70's would be way, way to much for a very fast street car.I wouldn't need that for a car that's mainly used for daily driving.

A proper single setup is just as good as any twin. Less weight, plumbing, cost, crap to fiddle with, and stuff that could go wrong. Just some advice..

Nice vid Newt.

Doesn't Twins make a car feel stronger on the street?? It seems like for the street car most guy's running with Twin Turbo's prefer them over the single's.I know single Turbo's out number Twin Turbo car's by alot!! It just seems like whoever has the TT set up really like them alot??

The advantage of twins is more power in the end, quicker spool. The cost is quite a bit more though. Weight really isn't that much more of a factor. The car is driven on the street some. If you get ready to do a kit and need someone to build it let me know.

I have never been in a Twin Turbo or a Single Turbo Mustang. The Turbo Regals are impressive with only Single Turbo's.I like 5 speed's but wouldn't it be hard to get it to spool in first Gear with a single Turbo, because of no Torque converter to help with the spool??I would probably like to put in 3:27 Gears since they are the gear of choice for Turbo cars.

all you have to do to get a turbo car to spool is buy a msd 2 step. Thats whats need on a stick car. A single turbo setup would be more than enough power to split your block
