Yeah, they're faded from red to gray. Definitely need new ones as the rest of the interior is mint.
BTW, I wasn't trying to be an ass about your wheels. I hope you enjoy 'em.

Oh no, I didn't think you were. I believe in personal preference, I'm enjoying them so far, I think that in the next two years I'll probably 5-lug convert it and go for some FR500's, because I'm sure this look will get old although it's a little more unique than the local foxes...

Next on my list appearance wise is a set of springs, I'll probably just get some bullitt springs and be done with it.

Nice car by the way. I wish mine was half as clean.

Hey Nova72, is that original paint? It looks absolutely awesome. How easy are the coil overs to install/play with up front?

no the cars had a repaint before i got it.

to be honest i did touch up a few paint chip in photoshop.

the front end looks terrible. clear coats peeling and the hood is rock chipped to hell.

i go to a college 2 hours away, so she sees a lot of interstate miles. plus a 6 hour trip, and all over sc.

coil overs are fine. just pull the wheel off, back the set screw out, and turn them. i had mine on for a year before i adjusted them so i had to clean some of the road debris out with a brush and a hose.

That sucks, believe me the body is straighter than mine, by a mile. I want to do some body work on it but the driver side quarter could use some metal on the lower area...

Did you personally do your 5 lug conversion? Also, are those 8.5 and 9.5's?

I love them, of course once I added the stall EVERYTHING was better. I did the 4.10's first, then the Edge 3500 and then heads/cam/intake. Partly to test theories and mostly budget....wheels I change on a monthly basis almost.

Those would probably look okay on an SN95 but they make that SVO look like a donk.

I don't get the joke...

So is it a personal preference thing? A money thing? A wheel-clearence issue? I ask because I like your setup and am prepping for future problems. What does you being 19 have to do with this.

Let me re-phrase my question...why doesn't your LX have the extended tailpipes of traditional LX's?

its a personal preference thing. the car had tail pipes on it when i bought it (see attached picture) and they fit the 18x10s just fine. but i cut them off after the muffle, threw the guy at the exhaust shop $5 to make bend me up some turn downs from some scrap, and welded them onto the muffles. it projects the sound down and out from under the car, and bounces it out to the surrounding area. really makes the cam more noticeable when cruising through mustang week, or the local hang out. the car is a hair too loud when leaving a neighborhood at 1:30am, or for work at 6am, but its really pretty sane compared to the majority of my friends ls1 cars and the hondas out there. ands its maybe 5% loud on the interstate, so long trips arnt a problem. and i really just struggle to like tail pipes, some cars look great, i just wanted to try something else for awhile.
